Setup is quick and easy. First, download BetBlocker from the Google Play Store.

BetBlocker has two main features. The gambling exclusion option lets you block gambling sites on your device for the amount of time you choose. It’s flexible, so you can limit your access for an hour, a day, a week, or even longer.

Got kids? The parental control option lets you block gambling and other adult content when they’re using your devices.

A quick note, the look of the menus and order of steps you’ll be asked to follow may be different depending on the Android handset and operating system you’re using.

At some point during the installation process, you’ll be asked to turn off Secure DNS. When your device is ready for this step, you’ll be automatically redirected to Chrome. Click OK when the message pops up, then go to Settings, Privacy and Security and tap “Use secure DNS.” Move the switch to off, then set BetBlocker to show over other apps by moving the switch to on.

Now, select the type of block you want. There are two options. Fixed means the block will start now and continue until the specific date you set. Calendar lets you pick the days and times when the block starts and ends. For example, weekends or Monday through Friday between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

Next, choose how long you want gambling content to be blocked.

Check the box to confirm that you understand you won’t be able to visit any gambling websites for the time period you’ve chosen.

BetBlocker can also block websites that advertise gambling. To turn on this option, check the box.

Finally confirm your choices and review what you selected. Click on the links to read the terms of use privacy policy and license user agreement.

Click Next to continue. You’ll need to activate admin permissions to allow BetBlocker to work.

Next, approve the VPN connection. This is necessary for BetBlocker to block gambling websites.

Then, allow accessibility service. Go to advanced settings. Find BetBlocker on the list of installed apps, and turn the switch to on.

Now, click on the icon to open the BetBlocker app. You can see when the restrictions you set will end. You also have the option to extend the time period or choose to block more content.
