Setup is quick and easy. First, download BetBlocker from the app store. 

BetBlocker has two main features. The self-exclusion option lets you block gambling sites on your device for the amount of time you choose. It’s flexible so you can limit your access for an hour, a day, a week, or even longer.

Got kids? The parental control option lets you block gambling and other adult content when they’re using your devices.

Next, choose how long you want gambling content to be blocked.

Check the box to confirm that you understand you won’t be able to visit any gambling websites for the time period you’ve chosen.

BetBlocker can also block websites that advertise gambling. To turn on this option, check the box.

You can also choose to block gambling apps, but it’s important to know that this feature will block all apps rated 17 and older by the app store. This means you won’t be able to use apps like Facebook, Reddit, or X. The block on 17+ rated apps will continue for the length of time you’ve chosen.

Check the box if you want to turn on this feature. You’ll see a list of apps that won’t work on your device while the block is in place. Make sure you want to continue before moving forward. Finally, confirm your choices and turn on the blocking feature.

Review what you selected and click on the links. To read the privacy policy terms of use and license user agreement, you’ll need to agree to Apple’s privacy policy.

Next, BetBlocker needs to download a profile to your iPhone. Select continue to move forward or watch a short video tutorial about the process. A profile will be added to your iPhone from the BetBlocker website. Select allow to continue.

Then you need to install the profile. Go to settings and select profile downloaded. Open and view the profile. Click install. A warning message will appear to let you know your iPhone’s internet traffic will be passed through a special server. This is necessary for BetBlocker to block gambling websites. Select install to continue.

Now, click on the icon to open the BetBlocker app. You can see when the restrictions you’ve set will end. You also have the option to extend the time period or choose to block more content.
